Here is a list of the Eisteddfod dates in Victoria for 2019:

2019 Performance Festival

Trinity College of London
Event Details:

When: Sunday 8 September 8:45am- 5:00pm (confirmed times to be sent via email by Monday 2 September)

Where: Loreto Mandeville Hall, NEW Drama Hall. Entry from               Clendon Rd and follow the signs straight through the gate. 

Cost: $10 per section entered and $8 door entry for adults attending as audience on the day

Registration: Please complete registration using the link below. Registrations close on Wednesday 28 August

  • Students are welcome to enter multiple sections, please be aware that the timing of the day will not be confirmed until after registrations are due. 

  • Entries are open to all school aged student as of the date of the festival

  • We cannot permit any filming or photography of the SDTAV Performance Festival. Occasionally we make request a photo of any winners for our website, please feel free to discuss with any of the committee if you do not wish to be included.

  • Please note all students must bring a copy of their poem/prose on the day for adjudication purposes. Please let us know if you need these to be returned.

Speaking Poetry
 Presents 'Improvisation & Storytelling'
with Dr Melissa Agnew
Event Details:

When: Sunday 26 May 9:45am- 1:00pm (workshop will run from 10-1pm with a morning tea break half way through)

Where: Loreto Mandeville Hall, Drama Hall. Entry from               Clendon Rd and follow the signs straight through the gate. It is the   building on the right.

Cost: $50 for members / $90 for non members

RSVP: Please register for the workshop using the link below by 1 May.

 

 

Overview of the workshop:

 

  • The workshop will include a purposeful voice and body warm-up, and will focus on telling the stories in poetry.

  • You will sample a delicious range of poetry styles, and quality of experience (not quantity of poems) will be our approach.

  • The workshop is for YOU and your practice, but the take-aways will apply easily to your students. 

  • You should expect activity, so comfy clothes would be best!

Morning Tea 

We invite you to attend a casual meeting, to socialise with colleagues and share some resources ahead of full teaching year.

What: We will share in a morning tea together, and ask each attendee to bring a favourite resource, activity or teaching tip to present to the group.

Please join us for a celebration of the closing of another year. It is a wonderful occasion to catch up with other members, colleagues, and like-minded teachers.

Cost: $30 per head, the SDTAV will subsidise part of the event.
